Vienna Stock Exchange Expands Offering with New ETFs and Crypto ETPs

The Vienna Stock Exchange has significantly expanded its investment offering, adding another 100 ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds) and approximately 50 new crypto ETPs (Exchange Traded Products) to its platform. The selection criteria for the expansion focused on fund volume, international demand, and tradability.

Broader Investment Choices

The new additions include ETFs tracking major global indices such as the MSCI World, S&P 500, and NASDAQ-100, alongside a wide range of bond ETFs with various structures. With this move, the total number of ETFs available for trading has nearly doubled, offering investors greater diversification options.

The surge in crypto ETPs is even more pronounced: these products, structured similarly to bonds, allow investors to track digital assets like Bitcoin through regulated financial instruments — providing a bridge between traditional finance and the crypto economy.

Solid Investment Strategies for Long-Term Planning

“ETFs reflect the key principles of a solid investment strategy: broad diversification, low costs, and the option of a monthly savings plan. They are therefore a prototype for long-term private retirement planning,” said Manuel Kurz, Deputy Head of Member Sales & Business Development at the Vienna Stock Exchange. “With our comprehensive product expansion, domestic investors now have an even more diverse investment offering at attractive conditions.”

Reliable Market Structure

Market maker Lang & Schwarz ensures continuous trading with high price quality across all listed products. Currently, the Vienna Stock Exchange offers around 240 ETFs and approximately 60 crypto ETPs. Investors trading on the domestic exchange benefit from favorable conditions, including no foreign exchange fees and no issue surcharges, making investment both cost-effective and straightforward.

This strategic expansion underscores the Vienna Stock Exchange’s commitment to offering a broad range of modern investment products tailored to both traditional and innovative asset classes.
